SCHOOL DRESS The school believes that a good clean smart appearance is an asset to each child and seeks support in the maintenance of high standards of school dress. Recent revision of our policy regarding dress has standardised school dress - e.g.: · PLAIN Black trousers or medium length skirt (without decoration) (track suits should not be worn other than for PE lessons nor should very long or very short skirts or denims) · White plain polo shirt · Black sweatshirt with ‘Greenfield’ logo available from school (garments with logos other than Greenfield should not be worn). · Black sensible hard wearing shoes, without decoration or noticeable heels. (Not trainers) · P.E. kit purchased through school o Green Polo Shirt
Year 11 pupils have the privilege of choosing a colour of top and logo to identify them as the most senior in their final year. This polo shirt and / or sweatshirt are only available through school.
JEWELLERY Jewellery should only be worn in moderation. Students, who so wish, may wear: · Earrings - one small stud in each ear. No other piercing are allowed · Wristwatch
OTHER EQUIPMENT Books and all other equipment including protective clothing are supplied on free loan from school. We do ask children to pay for lost exercise books and other small items if the loss has been because of carelessness. We would be very grateful if you could provide your children with a ballpoint pen or fountain pen, pencil, ruler and rubber. Some sort of bag or holdall is also essential to carry this equipment between home and school.
MARKING OF CLOTHES AND EQUIPMENT Every effort is made to keep losses and theft to a minimum but parents can help by: 1. Arranging to have all clothes and any other equipment clearly marked in indelible ink or with a name tape. 2. Not allowing valuables to be brought to school, e.g.: personal stereos 3. Not allowing large amounts of money to be brought to school. If, for any reason, a large amount needs to be brought, it should be given to a teacher for safe keeping.
