THE SCHOOL DAY

The school is in session, except for holidays, from Monday to Friday inclusive.

Students should not arrive at school before 8.30 am and registration in Tutor Group rooms take place at 8.55 a.m.   Assemblies take place weekly for individual Year Groups.

Lunch break is from 12.25 pm until 1.05 pm Students are then registered in their Tutor Groups

  9.11     Period 1 begins

10.08     Period 1 ends

10.11     Period 2 begins includes 15 minutes rolling

              break

11.30     Period 3 begins

12.25     Period 3 ends

  1.05     Warning bell - move immediately  to

             registration

   1.07    Registration begins

   1.12    Registration ends

   1.15    Period 4 begins

   2.15    Period 4 ends

   2.18    Period 5 begins

   3.15    Period 5 ends

ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL

When your child is absent from school please let us know the reason on the first day of absence by telephoning the school office.  Always say which tutor group your child is in as this will help us and save enquiries. In the case of prolonged absence it might be possible for some work to be sent home.

Students will not be allowed to leave the premises during the school hours, unless permission has been requested in writing beforehand.

LUNCH TIME ARRANGEMENTS - SCHOOL MEALS

We have a cafeteria system which serves an extensive range of cooked meals. and fast food selection.  Students are encouraged to stay at school during lunchtime as a considerable number of activities take place at that time.

Pupils who do go home for lunch are provided with a pass, which must be carried with them at all times.

Under no circumstances should students staying at school for lunch leave the premises. If this rule is broken an alternative will have to be found by parents since we will be unable to accept responsibility.
